Hey y’all. I know it’s been a reallllly long time since we last posted, but honestly life just seems to keep hitting us pretty hard. Over the summer our family dynamic changed drastically, in more ways than one, and we’re just now able to get our feet back under us.
We lost my dad in early August. It was like a bomb went off with no warning. Even now writing this it seems so surreal, like it’s not my life I’m talking about. Each day is an uphill battle, but God’s grace is enough to see us through this trial. I am beyond thankful for the people in our lives who have mourned with us, and continue to point us back to the hope of the gospel. God’s presence becomes so precious and irreplaceable in times of darkness.
“Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” (1 Pet. 5:7).
“He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you'” (Heb. 13:5).
Satan is real, and his purpose hasn’t changed. He continues to lure us away from the Truth, and drive wedges between us and those the Lord has entrusted to us. But in Christ we have a firm foundation, and as long as our eyes are fixed on the cross we cannot be moved. We will persevere.
“Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved” (Ps. 55:22).
As of right now things have gone quiet in the Ministry in Macedonia. We are working with our Lifeline team on writing a letter that will hopefully elicit a response. Last we heard in July, was our paperwork had been processed and approved, and we were placed on their official waitlist.
So friends, we don’t know how much longer it will be, and we don’t know what the next few months will look like. But we ask you to please continue to lift our family up in prayers. The road we’re on is hard and long, and we need the Body of Christ to walk with us.
